The Salary Recognition Incentive or SRI under the Administrative Order No.19, series of 2019 signed by President Duterte has been released to all qualified employees last December 2019. However, not the full amount of up to P10,000 per employee was given.
Most public school teachers only received an amount of P7,000 which was the assured SRI for each qualified employee and the remaining P3,000 will depend on the Agency's fund.
DepEd Usec. Annalyn M. Sevilla announced on her official Facebook page that the additional P3,000 will be based on the available savings from RELEASED allotment of the entire agency.
"The 3k SRI shall only be released upon identification of available savings from RELEASED allotment of the entire agency. DepEd needs approximately 3B to be able to pay an additional 3k per employee. If pooled PS savings is not enough to cover the additional 3K, it should be UNIFORMLY divided to ALL employees of the AGENCY." Sevilla said in the post.
"We are requesting all regional finance offices to submit the data/details on the available PS savings so we can identify the total pooled savings and determine the amount DepEd can give to its employees. Please submit on or before Dec 19, 2019." Sevilla added.
Now that the holidays are almost over and offices will soon resume its operations, it is expected that the remaining amount of SRI shall be given to the public school teachers as soon as possible.
