Senate, to prioritize the salary increase for public teachers

“As your Majority floor leader, I guarantee we will take it up as priority measure for the first few months of this Congress,” - Senator Zubiri on an interview.

Sen. Zubiri guarantees that the Senate will dig into possible measures to secure the salary increase that public school teachers have been asking for. He has also filed an Act which seeks to raise the salary of all public school teachers in the country by P10,000 monthly.

"We have been fighting for this for a long time. We want to increase the salary of teachers in the public sector." Zubiri said.

The senator is also quite positive on the passage of these measures since they have already gained the support of most senators even the newly elected ones.
