With the existing issue of the salary increase for public school teachers, and with the comparison of various business groups between public and private school teachers with regards to their salary wages, the group of public school teachers has again called on to the government to materialize their ever longing salary increase. They said that the public school teachers also deserve the pay hike received by the country's uniformed personnel as they are all serving the country with hardship and sacrifices.
“Muli, ang panawagan ng ACT, ipantay na sa mga sweldo ng pulis at sundalo ang sahod ng mga guro… It will cost approximately as much as what was given to uniformed personnel,” - ACT Partylist Representative Antonio Tinio.
“Kung gugustuhin lang ng administration at ni Pangulong Duterte ay kayang ipatupad sa kagyat ang substantial na salary increase para sa mga guro kaya muli natin ididiin ito lalo pa’t binubuo na ng DBM ang budget para sa 2020,” he continued.
