"I therefore believe that it is now time for the congress to approve in your version the Salary Standardization Law. Ngayon na." This is the statement of President Rodrigo Duterte when he talked about the salary increase of public school teachers during his 4th State of the Nation Address or SONA.
"And to the teachers who toil and work tirelessly to educate our young, kasali na po dito yung hinihingi ninyo. Hindi naman masyado malaki pero it will tide you over during this hard time. A little bit bigger than before." he further explained.
With these bold statements from the President himself and with the bunch of bills pertaining to the increase of salary of public school teachers, the nation strongly believes that this will come into reality.
After the fulfillment of the President's promise to the uniformed personnel in regard to their increased salary, all public school teachers are now hopeful that he will stand by his words to fulfill it.
