Fix the country's education system before banning homework

Rep. France Castro recently stated that our government needs not to focus on banning the students' homework and punishing our dear teachers for it. Instead, they should be working out to fix major educational system problems that would equate to a better quality of education.

It could be remediation, enrichment, activity patungo sa next lesson, magandang bonding din ito with parents… makikita din ‘yung responsibility dito,” Rep. Castro said.

With a load of non-teaching responsibilities of teachers and many other clerical works, Rep. Castro reminded the legislators that these matters should be dealt with first not banning the homework which really helps our students develop good study habits and ease the burden of the teachers.
