Arizona, USA offers P178K monthly salary for Filipino Teachers due to Teacher Shortage
Tucson, Arizona USA is now in the middle of the teacher shortage which leads the district to outsource international teachers. They offer $42,000 annual salary for the public school teachers.
Since many Americans do not want to do this job, Filipino teachers were able to get hired to fill those positions. One of them is teacher Andrea Locsin, a former public school teacher from the Philippines.

"We have the same reasons why we're here. Sacrifice for the family and all our sacrifice it's all worth it," said teacher Locsin.
"This is a very big opportunity for me, a very big blessing," Locsin added.
Dr. Gabriel Trujillo, superintendent of the Tucson Unified School District heads the hiring process for international teachers.
"There are more vacancies than applicants. The pay isn't very attractive. We finally decided that it would probably be time to look overseas," Trujillo said.
