Acting Budget Secretary Wendel Avisad assured that the next year plan of granting the salary increase for government workers will finally be implemented.
When asked by Bayan Muna Rep. Ferdinand Gaite as to how much would be the increase for each government employee, for instance, lowest-paid government employees with Salary Grade 1 who gets about P11,000 in basic monthly salary, Avisado said that it would be 10% of his monthly salary.
“It will be 10 percent of his salary,” Avisado responded.
“That means this employee will get a P1,100 pay increase,” Gaite said, to which the acting budget secretary agreed.
If so, then you can simply get or compute the 10% of your basic monthly salary to distinguish the said increase. For teacher 1 with the monthly the Salary Grade 11, which pays P20,754 a month, would go up by P2,075.
This is the only assurance given by Sec. Avisado and considering the proposed budget allocation for next year.
