DBM Acting Sec. Wendel Avisado assures that the country is expected to operate under the new budget by January 2020. This is in spite of the delay to sign the 2020 General Appropriations Act (GAA).
“The slight delay will not have any impact on spending and economic growth since the budget for the regular programs or projects will also be released in January 2020,” Avisado said in a text message.
According to DBM Usec. Laura Pascua, the said 2020 budget is expected to be signed this coming January 6, 2020.
Malacanang has also announced that President Duterte will most likely sign the 2020 national budget on the very first week of the year 2020.
