SCHOOL MEMORANDUM #380 SY 2019-2020 To: Utility/Custodial Officers and School Security Officers From: Office of the School Principal Subject: Flexible Limited Time Date: March 23, 2020 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Utility/custodial officers should practice flexible limited time. Flexible limited time means they are not bound for 8 hour a day. They can go to school any time from 8 am to 5 pm and are tasked to do the following: 1. Watering of plants (urgent and must be done at least daily or twice daily to avoid to wither and die);; 2. Cleaning of school premises (school walls, ceiling, corridors, windows, curtains, school grounds, comfort rooms) (routinely) 3. Disinfecting using a diluted solution of water and hydrogen peroxide (Chlorox or Zonrox) (from time to time); 4. Minor repair (aircon cleaning, lighting repair, door knob repair, (routinely); 5. Arrangement of furniture and cabinets (From time to time); 6. Wearing of face mask as possible; regular cleaning/washing of their hands and the use of alcohol to disinfect; and 7. Others (as ordered by the school head) Security guards/security officers must practice 8 hours a day for POSO and LSB guards and 12 hours for Blue/Best guards. All of them must practice the following: 1. Must do thermal scanning to all who enter the school; 2. Must perform eleven general orders for security guards; 3. Must periodically monitor and patrol school premises especially the back portion of school premises; 4. Must secure all properties of the school; 5. Must not allow anyone to enter the school except utility/custodial officers, and selected teachers (those who compose of KERIS COVID-19 Task Force, and disbursing officers); and authorized persons from the Taguig City Government; SDO-TAPAT and others authorized by the school head. 6. Must allow teachers if the teachers have something to get from the school such as forms or other documentary paraphernalia. But they should not stay longer in school. As much as possible, teachers and office personnel must stay at home to avoid infection of COVID-19. 7. Must wear face mask as possible, wash hands and use alcohol for hand disinfection. Utility/custodial officers who live far from the school (which needs to ride a jeepney or tricycle are not required to go to school. However, if they desire to go to school, they can do so to perform their tasks. However, those who are near the school (walking distance only) must share the burden of work for those who are far from the school. School security officers who are far from the school can stay-in the school. DepEd Order #43 s. 2020 says in letter b #4 “Heads of Offices shall be given the discretion in the determination of alternative work arrangement that is applicable for each functional office). In the guidelines issued by the City Government of Taguig, only security officers and utility officers also called building officers are allowed to go to school. May God bless you. DELFIN R.
